Theory of a Fair World

We are born with coins of pleasure and pain, the same number for each person. During our lives, we can spend our coins as we wish. Death comes only when one kind of coin runs out, and at the moment of death, we must spend our remaining pleasure or pain in one breath. Those whose lives were joyful weep, while those who have suffered smile and let death’s breeze cool their hot skin. For those who have lived in balance, spending pleasure and pain equally in life, death whispers. A hand on the shoulder, a little nod, and then nothing.
