On Being Born a Prince:

From the day that he was born, his every move was observed, admired, and reported.

He set the bar for high pedigree across the entire kingdom. He studied well, excelled at sports, and always made the right appearances. It didn’t hurt that he was handsome like his father and witty like his mother.

When he didn’t study hard enough, or didn’t try hard enough, he would tell himself, “Well, every person fails a little.” And he’d excuse it, saying, “It’s okay, I’m still the best there is.” And he was right; he still wore the crown. But inside he knew.
