A Night At The Opera

In by Lara on October 10, 2010 at 2:39 am

The crowd sat expectantly in the dark theater room, backs on red velvet chairs, hands folded in their laps. A night at the opera.
When the curtains pulled back, everyone gasped. It was not a woman, nor a man. It was a polar bear in a suit.
He growled.
A lady fainted. People started panicking.
“Please, be calm,” the polar bear sang in a lovely, rich tenor.
People stayed, for it was such a good sound that the walls reverberated in delight, and the air seemed to sway with pleasure.
It was an opera, and a great one at that.
