He’d made up the last name, she’d heard, when he was quite young.  His mother let him pick, and somehow, he’d understood: a name to be known by, but not recognized.  She didn’t remember ever speaking with him, but classes had been like cousins and school had grown into family.  All she really remembered was that he was beautiful, and quiet, and that those deep eyes told the world that his soul had been here before.  It made death harder to understand.

English: REMEMBER; Spanish: RECORDAR;  Latin: RECORDARIRE-again + CORDIS-heart: to pass back through the heart.  Heal, beautiful soul.
