Always wanted a tattoo.  Knew it, for sure.

Left side (there’s a reason).
Inner wrist (there’s a reason).

 Finally knew the coordinates, and

Universal Transverse Mercator had its reason, too.

Found the artist, got the pricing, made the time – that was Now, with at least two weeks between getting inked and any contact with the kind of water that might suck ink back out.

Looked at the wrist:
Skin.
Wrinkles.

Veins,
Blood,
Life.

Up until now, right Now, all the scars on the body still lived deep inside.

If another scar was going to happen… this would be the one.

  1. Nice. Some days I think getting a tattoo would be whack. Some days I think about how whack I am for not having one.

  2. I agree wholeheartedly with michael. fantastic piece, lucia.
