Testimony (II)

In by Chris on August 2, 2010 at 6:30 pm

I ran from them by hiding on a truck full of wood when I was twelve, never to see home again. For thirty years I drifted between cities, sleeping on the floors of strangers, lucky to get food. I did not even know how to pray, I could only think of the Bible verses I knew. My life never could settle; men tried to take advantage of me and women were little better. Each job led nowhere, and somehow, before this church, every relationship was empty. Without the Lord’s protection, today I would be entangled in evil. He shelters me.
